Landscape of other planets at your fingertips.

The Teide National Park is a unique place for its landscapes.

A short trip through different parts of el Teide National Park can give you a good idea of what you would find if you visited other rocky spot in the Solar System, such as the Moon, Mars or Venus.

Won’t need a bulky spacesuit to protect you from being boiled or squashed by the high temperature or extreme pressure in a question of second. El Teide is the ideal place to stroll through other planets in your shirtsleeves!

Venus:

if the lava from a volcano is very viscous and if certain other conditions exist, thick superimposed fan-shaped structures are created, such as those found in the Aino Planitia region or in the National Park.

The Moon:

When the Apollo craft landed, they found landscapes like those you see in San José Mine: craters with gentle walls covered in very slippery, volcanic dust. Given their similarity, the San José Mines have been used to test prototypes of vehicles and instruments that are to be used to explore the Moon.

Mars:

When torrents of water form in arid landscapes, they usually leave a mark in the shape of canals, such as those in the Mojave Crater region on Mars, or those which you can see on the nearby Llano de Ucanca.

You can discover all these landscapes with our Teide Sunset VIP tour that will make you live an unforgettable experience.
