Tamadaba hike in Gran Canaria is the ideal route for lovers of nature in its purest form and long walks full of oxygen. This hike can be done with family, friends or even just to enjoy a moment with yourself.
Tamadaba Natural Park is one of the areas least altered by human hands. In 2019 Tamadaba was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, becoming part of the Sacred Mountains of Gran Canaria.
One of the reasons why it is very popular with hiking enthusiasts. Its 7,500 hectares stretch from summit to coast at the western end of the island, within an area that has been declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
You will be able to choose between the fabulous natural forests of Canary Island pine, the vertiginous cliffs of its almost inaccessible coastline and the incredible biodiversity of its ravines.
The duration of the walk on the route will be approximately 4 hours. We usually pick up our clients at 10am. Normally, the transfer takes us 1 hour.
So the Routes normally last from 11h to 15h. Then it will take about 1 hour to get back. In short, the trip will last from about 10h to 16h.
During the walk, we stop for 10 to 15 minutes every hour to rest our legs, drink water, eat a snack and enjoy the fresh air.
In addition to the 30-40 minute stop in the middle of the route to have lunch and recharge 100% of the energy.
We recommend you to rest well at least two days beforehand in order to get through the Tamadaba route in Gran Canaria without complications. Remember to wear comfortable shoes that allow you to walk for a long time and bring the necessary weight in your backpack.
