The excursion begins in San Sebastián de La Gomera, specifically at the guagua (bus) station. From there starts a very beautiful route to discover the most emblematic areas of the island and enjoy its gastronomy.
As we leave San Sebastian de La Gomera, the landscape will change in vegetation, from dry to humid, in a sample of the different microclimates that some of the Canary Islands have.
And if we talk about atmospheric phenomena, you cannot miss a visit to La Degollada de Peraza, where you will enjoy the phenomenon of horizontal rain.
The volcanic character is also part of the essence of our islands, and for this reason the next stop will take you to see the area of the ancient Supervolcanoes. Specifically to a place that is emblematic of the island: El Peñón de Agando. Do you like natural accidents? Well, this steep formation of volcanic lava will attract your attention for a long time.
We are still surrounded by nature and special places, so we will later enter the Garajonay National Park. The famous and characteristic Laurisilva, a special vegetation that has existed since the age of the dinosaurs, will make you believe that you are in a kind of oasis.
And you will have enough time to see the Laurisilva at close quarters, as at this stop we will have time to have lunch in a typical Gomeran restaurant “Laguna Grande”, where we will experience “El Silbo Gomero”. At the end, we will walk through a circular path that delights the senses.
The next place? Valle Gran Rey, where you will have a view of one of the most beautiful canyons in La Gomera, specifically from the Palmarejo viewpoint.
